Desktop Publishing
Below are the front and back cover images from a promotional catalogue I created in 1996. I was art director, photographer and illustrator for the project. The design was completed in Quark XPress and Adobe Illustrator, and the 3D in PIXAR's Typestry. The photographs were scanned into the PhotoCD format and modified in Adobe Photoshop. I have provided the entire eight-page catalogue in Adobe Acrobat format as a promotional sample of my desktop publishing skills. | ||||

This
is from a large 24"x18" fold-out insert for the Advocacy Resource
Centre for the Handicapped (now ARCH
Disability Law Centre), which was published and distrubuted throughout
Toronto in 1993. I was solely reponsible for the layout, design and
working with the printer to have this inserted in a Toronto newspaper.
The line art illustrations were rendered by hand and the insert was
typeset and designed in Quark Xpress. |

In
addition, I designed the logo for the HIV & AIDS Legal Project Ontario
(now HALCO),
which was used in their publications, stationery and sandblasted onto
the glass of their downtown Toronto offices in the 1990s. |

I
was also hired in 1998 by Angoss Software Corporation (now owned by
Altair)
to design a flyer for their data mining products. The Las Vegas-themed
3D imagery was created in Strata 3D and Adobe Photoshop, with the layout
handled in Quark Xpress. |
