ToonBoom frames of giant robot

Above are frames from an animation clip commissioned for US Animation's "ToonBoom Studio" product, which creates vector graphic Internet movies with traditional animation art. My clip was used for a demo movie of what tracing and painting standard "cell" art into ToonBoom Studio would look like as a finished Flash movie.

The animation was drawn traditionally on registered animation paper and then traced on a 12" x 12" Wacom tablet (the software supports the tablet directly). The animation elements are then programmed with movement and exported as a Macromedia Flash movie.

This clip first premiered in the ToonBoom Studio demo reel at MacWorld New York (7/2001), and the product won MacWorld's "Best of Show" award.
